Genesis of political arrogance

Recently, there have been increasing behaviors in Indian politics that only smell arrogance. Most probably its the case that the general behavior of a politician is captured by cameras by chance. Where does this arrogance come from and how is it for the governance?

Over assessment of self worth:
   It originates from the feeling of insulation from wrong doings catching up, from the confidence in ability to tweak reality by virtue of money and power to influence perceptions and divert attentions into confusion, also from being surrounded by agreeing advisers, security guards, convoy of vehicles.

Inability to handle criticism or divergent views:
  The natural consequence is superiority complex. That sees everyone else worthless and any criticism constructive or otherwise irritating. And any event that tests patience turns into a outburst.

How is it for governance?
  Governance that is based on singular views and is inflexible for correcting its course based on constructive criticism or the need of the times or long term vision is doomed. In democracy, if such a government refuses to correct its course, is without doubt diving into political irrelevance.

Thought train

The music is playing from my earphones and i have got one hour of a battery in laptop. This bearably hot evening i am on my train back to Bangalore from Udgir, my native. Humpi Link express, the train, is passing through some part of Andra Pradesh and its 4:47pm. In many Hindu rituals the priests pronounce the historic name of the area where the ritual is performed. I grew up listening to my being called as "Dandak Aranya". As it used to be called since Aryan time. Integral part of the Aryawarta - what we call Indian subcontinent. The Aryawarta as such is an island in every non-geographical sense, being surrounded by the Himalayan sea in the north and by the Indian Ocean, Arebean Sea and Bay of Bengal on the entire south. The stories from puranas tell the ancient stories related to the area - Dandak Aranya. It used to be a forest inhabiting extremely dangerous animals. This area was considered cursed, may be due to its inhospitality. On this day you rarely find a forest here.

Time, Timing & Making Things Happen

Effect of an action depends on its essentials and a great extent on its timings. Agreed there are absolute and unquestioned truths above & along the flow of time. Though that is not what we regard as time. As far as understanding of time goes there are uncountable human & environmental factors that make it almost impossible to reproduce a great phenomenon exactly same way again or at another place. It is said quite wisely, you always adapt, in a best possible way to any given situation. Folks who are successful are the ones who probably acted upon the best of the understanding of the given situation. There is no reason to believe the implied intension can not be carried out in a situation. Given the intentions do not have fundamental flaws, the environment to make them succeed can be induced. This truly should mean "making things happen" in a broader sense.
