A naturalist's dilemma

We hear a lot of voices carrying an argument that things not being good for us as these are not directly available in nature and hence opposed to our natural well being. This argument if applied in totality makes the whole human endavours over centuries and millaniums a war against the nature. Which is flawed. Being foremost thinking creatures we have the advantage and responsibility. Sustainability for ourselves and the surroundings; living and the complimentry needs to be thought to the best of the comprehension. Any cynical approch in either direction can only be undoing of the endavours.

The last satyamev jayate episode

Let me first admit that i am a big fan of the   series. It has had an impact that is far greater than the sum  total of indian news channel  debates in recent years.  I liked the story of the villager who single handedly  paved a way across a mountain. I feel it has a great lesson for the anna movement and  citizens frustated of the system. A single  man's determination can move a mounntain; with so many good  people around system is bound to  channge; save a bit determination.

Name search

The search for the name for the newcomer in the family was not an easy task. Firstly I tried google, which gives links to websites with many Indian names. Which to me were quite heard of types. Or they were too much unheard of. Due to sheer enthusiasm for a perfect name I downloaded Mudgala Kosha   which is kind of encyclopedia of sanskrit words / meanings with online search urls. Finally after a lot of proposals and discarding Ashwini and I could agree on Atharv. For this name we didn't need the dictionary at all. Its a known name. What causes inflation

Let us say I have a product which I can produce at a rate 10 per day. However there is demand for 15 units a day. Due to higher demand & lower availability, I can find 10 people who are ready to pay more to get my product on that day by paying higher price. So the price of my product will be proportionately higher compared to the delta in demand and supply. ==>What government does is it makes sure there is less money available with the people; so that there is lesser demand so the prices are in control. Keeping fiscal deficit within x % of GDP. So that inflation is low. ==>What RBI does is it makes sure that credit is available at an higher price. Solar + Scrap + Hydel == Energy solution

Power scenario in most of the states of the country becomes grimmest in summer. Main reason for it is that the hydel power grids become dim as the rivers that provide it potent water dry up. Second reason being household energy consumption, that increases as the mercury rises. We know that our cities produce waste that is humongous in nature. And this source is constant. We do face problem of disposing it amicably. We can convert degradable part of this waste into methane which can be used to generate power. And the non-degradable portion can be recycled into usable things. Also, solar energy can be a reliable source at least during summers to augment the power thus generated. More over we can not rely on depleting coal & diesel for long to run vehicles or to generate power. Why Lalu fumes on Raj?

For more than two decades Lalu has been in charge of Bihar affairs. He has been the face that world associates with Bihar. With his recent turn around of the Indian Railways fortunes he been a celebrated hero credited with the Indian Railways success story. So he is now used to be reffered to as successful persona. This almost shadows his failures to develop Bihar despite being responsible it well over a decade and half. This also overshadows the past curruptions charges he and his administrations had faced. Now what Raj Thakery and MNS is doing [it's rightness left to be decided judicial system], underlines Lalu's failures. What he suggests is people from Bihar not to eat into the jobs of people of Maharashtra. If Bihar has not been able to develop itself for over last 6 decades after independence then they should fix it. The fact however is the living conditions, state of infrastructure, law and order, social system and oppotunities in Bihar do not imbibe ambition of stayin
